How Fast Can You Lose Fat?

Big holiday feast

When most people step on the scale and decide they want to lose, 5, 10, 20 or 50 pounds, they’re usually basing that opinion on something like, “Man, my normal weight (back when I was 19… or before I was pregnant… or … before I got married… or… enter your measure here) was (5, 10, 20 or 50) pounds less.” While I believe it’s necessary to dream big dreams even when it comes to fitness and more specifically fat loss, I also believe it’s essential to your success that you begin by mastering the small steps that will get you there. In the next few posts, my goal is to get you off the rollercoaster of weight loss and weight gain, and get you on your way to a fit, healthy and happy lifestyle. To get this started, let’s first understand the concept of how we gain and/or lose body fat.
